LinkedIn Ads MCP Server for Claude and ChatGPT
LinkedIn knows the job title, company and seniority of everyone who saw your ads. Its own reporting is built around impressions, clicks and CTR, so most teams never look at the part that makes LinkedIn worth its CPMs.
SourcetoMCP connects LinkedIn Campaign Manager to Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP-compatible agent, so you can just ask. No developer app, no API keys, and your LinkedIn data sits alongside Google Ads, GA4 and Search Console on the same connection.
Agent asks
Which job titles clicked our ads last month?
Agent asks
Why did this campaign stop spending?
Why LinkedIn Ads access matters for your agent
LinkedIn is the only advertising platform that knows what its audience does for a living. That is the whole reason B2B teams pay its rates, and it is the part hardest to get at from the interface.
- Professional breakdowns. Job title, company, seniority, job function, industry and company size. No other ad platform you connect can answer this.
- Names, not identifiers. LinkedIn returns numeric IDs for companies and titles. Your agent gets the names.
- Honest about the limits. The demographic figures are approximate on LinkedIn’s side, and your agent is told so rather than quoting them as precise.
- One connection, every channel. Compare LinkedIn against Google Ads, GA4 and Search Console in a single question.
How it works
Sign in with LinkedIn. Authorise on LinkedIn's own consent screen at linkedin.com. No developer app to register, no API key to paste, and SourcetoMCP never sees your password.
Pick the ad accounts. You will see every ad account your LinkedIn login has a role on in Campaign Manager. Choose the ones you want your agent to reach and leave the rest alone.
Ask in plain language. Your agent calls the right operation behind the scenes and gets real LinkedIn data back, with the identifiers already resolved to names.

Built to answer who your ads reached
See who actually saw your ads
Break performance down by job title, company, seniority, job function, industry, company size or location. Names are resolved for you, so you get NSW Health rather than an identifier.
Campaign performance in plain language
Impressions, clicks, spend and conversions by campaign, campaign group, creative or whole account, day by day or month by month.
Find out why a campaign isn't spending
LinkedIn's own verdict on every campaign, which routinely differs from the status you set. An exhausted budget, a passed end date or an audience under the minimum each say so plainly.
Catch a rejected ad
Creative-level review status. A rejected creative is a common reason a correctly built campaign never spends, and it is invisible from campaign reporting.
Size an audience before you build it
Estimate how many members match a set of targeting criteria, and see whether it clears the 300-member minimum LinkedIn needs before a campaign can serve.
Resolve targeting to real names
Browse LinkedIn's targeting dimensions and turn a place, seniority or industry into the identifier its campaign targeting expects.
Compare LinkedIn to everything else
LinkedIn spend sits on the same connection as Google Ads, GA4 and Search Console, so one question can span every channel instead of four exports.
Create and adjust campaigns
Build a campaign with real targeting, or change an existing one's budget, bid or status. A new campaign is always created paused, so nothing can start spending without you saying so.

LinkedIn Ads MCP FAQ
Common questions from teams connecting LinkedIn Ads to an agent.
No. LinkedIn publishes a Marketing API and an Advertising API, but no MCP server of its own. Anything that connects LinkedIn Ads to Claude or ChatGPT today is built on top of those APIs by someone else, including this one.
No, and the difference matters. Most things called a LinkedIn MCP scrape member profiles, companies and jobs, often through a logged-in browser session. This connects to LinkedIn's official Advertising API and reads your own advertising data. It never touches member profiles, and it is not built for prospecting or list building.
The free ones are self-hosted: you register your own LinkedIn developer app, wait for LinkedIn to approve it for the Advertising API, then run and maintain a server. Here you sign in with LinkedIn and it works. Your LinkedIn data also sits alongside Google Ads, GA4, Search Console and the rest, so one question can cover every channel.
No. You authorise through LinkedIn's own sign-in screen, the same way you would with any app. SourcetoMCP never sees your LinkedIn password, and you can revoke access from your dashboard or from LinkedIn at any time.
Eight things it can read: campaign performance, campaign configuration, professional demographics, ad account details, campaign groups, creatives with their review status, targeting lookups and audience size estimates. It can also create a campaign and change an existing one's name, status, budget, bid or end date. A campaign it creates is always paused, and before creating one it checks the audience clears LinkedIn's 300-member serving minimum, so it cannot quietly build something that will never run.
The performance numbers are LinkedIn's own. The professional breakdowns are approximate by design, because LinkedIn perturbs them to protect member privacy, and they lag campaign reporting by 12 to 24 hours. Your agent is told this alongside the figures rather than presenting them as exact.
Only the ones you pick. Signing in shows every ad account your LinkedIn login holds a role on in Campaign Manager, whether that is Viewer, Creative Manager, Campaign Manager, Account Manager or Billing Admin. You choose which to connect, each counts towards your plan, and the rest stay untouched. Administering the company page is a separate permission and does not grant access to its ad accounts.
LinkedIn Ads is available on every paid plan. See Pricing for how many connections each plan includes.
