Getting started

Agentic CLI

A terminal AI agent for your connected sources. Ask natural-language questions against them, straight from the command line, no need to open Claude or ChatGPT.

Can create, edit and delete data too. Every change pauses for your explicit approval in the terminal first.

1

Install

Requires Node.js 18.17 or later.

Bash
npm install -g sourcetomcp
2

Connect your account

Opens your browser to sign in and approve the CLI, the same way you'd approve Claude or ChatGPT above.

Bash
sourcetomcp login
3

Add your own AI key

The CLI does its reasoning locally on your own machine, using an API key you provide. This is a developer API key, a separate thing from a Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini subscription login, from console.anthropic.com. It's billed directly by them, pay-per-use, and never sent to or stored by SourcetoMCP.

Bash
sourcetomcp auth anthropic
4

Ask a question

Bash
sourcetomcp ask "what were my top Search Console queries last month?"

Every question runs the same governed access every connected agent uses, so it can only see the sources you've connected. Reads run immediately, but any create, update or delete stops and asks you to approve it first, right there in your terminal.

Published as sourcetomcp on npm.
