Connect Google Slides to AI Agents

Connect Google Slides and ask an agent to read, edit, comment on, share or export your decks, or embed a live chart straight from a connected Google Sheet, in plain English.

What you'll need

  • A Google Slides deck you already have access to, or ask your agent to create a new one.
  • A connected Google Sheet too, if you want a chart pulled from real spreadsheet data rather than built from numbers you supply.

Google Slides connects through Google's own OAuth sign-in. SourcetoMCP can't browse your whole Drive, it only ever sees decks you explicitly pick when you connect, or ones your agent creates from scratch.

Connect it

Open Connectors
In your SourcetoMCP dashboard, go to Connectors and choose Add Connection, then Google Slides.
Sign in with Google
Grant SourcetoMCP access on Google's own consent screen.
Choose your decks
Pick one or more files through Google's own file picker.
Confirm
The connection shows up as Connected in your Connectors table.

Writes are real: creating shapes, tables and videos, restyling text and images, and replacing matching shapes with a photo. A chart embedded from Sheets can be linked to its source, but it only refreshes when you ask, it doesn't update on its own. Sharing a deck with someone, or making it accessible to anyone with the link, is also real and takes effect immediately.

Try it

  • "Fill this template deck with real numbers from our connected Sheet."
  • "Embed a live chart from our budget spreadsheet on this slide."
  • "Restyle this table's header row to match our brand colour."
  • "Add a new slide using our theme's section-header layout."
  • "Share this deck with the team as viewers, then export it as a PDF."

Join it with other sources

"Build a chart in our connected Sheet from this range, then embed it linked on this slide."

Troubleshooting

SymptomLikely fix
A linked chart looks out of dateExpected. A linked chart only updates when you ask your agent to refresh it, not automatically.
Your agent can't find a specific shape or image to editAsk it to read the slide's elements first, so it has the real ids to target.
